Hooked!

Pinterest has got into my blood, I love the website and cant stay off it. Everyday I'm on there looking through all the cute and brilliant ideas. Here's a small portion of the ones I've liked. I'm still waiting to get my own page, then I will be let loose.

Christmassy idea's:
I would love to have a big doorway like this, I don't think I'd decorate it quite like this there's a bit too much going on for me.  I have a few ideas of what I'd do though.
I've never seen anything like this, and I love it, I would put a big letter in the middle too of my surname.
                                    How cute!!

My friend Amy is throwing a big Christmas night for a big group of us girls next week so I think I'm going to bake some goodies to take, I'm stuck between these two idea's.

I would love a photo wall like this in my house, and I think going up the stairs is a perfect place too.

How cute is this hair style, I'm defiantly going to give this one a try. There are so many other good hairstyles on the website.
This made me laugh so hard, and it's probably so true for me.

I'm a sucker for a good cheesy quote, and think I would have a hard time trying to pick a few to maybe put up in the house . I also love funny ones, safe to say this made me giggle for a while .

OH MY GOODNESS, these are beautiful. I've never been that keen on lace before but I think these are stunning! I blame Kate Middleton and her gorgeous wedding dress.

I thought these were so different. I've seen plain letters before, but these yarn ones are lush. I don't know where I'd put them or what letters/word I would want. But who knows in the future.
Hahaha, how funny!

Mars Bar Cakes

Oh my goodness, I have found the yummiest cakes.

A few years ago I tried a mars bar cake in a local shop and completely forgot about it, until a few weeks ago when I saw one in a cute bakery in North Wales. They are the easiest thing to make too, no baking involved. But as your making them you realise just how much junk is going into them. It's all worth it when your eating them though.

You'll need:

3 Mars Bars
75g Margarine
3 tablespoons of Golden Syrup
225g Rice Krispies
1 large plain chocolate bar........ see told you they were healthy!

Preperation

Cut up the mars bars and then melt them, the syrup and the margarine in a large pan.
Add the rice krispies slowly, and mix thoroughly.
Pour the mixture into a fairly deep square baking tray, press the mixture flat then place in the firidge or 20 minutes.
Melt the large chocolate bar and cover the rice krispies, place back in the fridge for approximetly an hour or until the chocolate is hard.

You might want to leave it sit on the work surface for a while before attempting to cut it or you  might get a bent knife like I did.

Enjoy :)

Drip Drip Drop Little April Shower

Where did all this rain and wind come from!!

The UK has had a storm today, in some parts of Scotland the wind reached up to 165mph. Now that would give you a bad hair day!
This morning I woke up and it was raining and now I'm about to go to sleep and guess what it's still raining! The furthest I've gone out of the house today was to go to the garage . At least the heating in our house has fixed otherwise it would have been a very cold and miserable day. But just as one thing gets fixed another thing breaks right. Today our conservatory started to leak, and not just a little leak either, I had to mop up the floor there was a massive puddle . So I quickly scrambled a tonne of towels and bowls and did a little comedic style watch for the drips to place the bowls.

It got worse.

Seen as I have an exam on Monday I should have been hard revising, and even though I did do quite a lot today I still got distracted. Yesterday Mike told me about this website called Pinterest. I am in love!! It is so good, you should all check it out. Its full of crafty, cute, fashion, wedding, cooking and house ideas. People 'pin' all their ideas and share them with people . Its such a cute website. Yesterday I bookmarked about 20 pages. I've applied to get my own page so I can keep hold of idea's I love and defiantly will try. I would love to be more artsy and creative, but I guess the only way you'll learn is by trying.

Heres the website, have a look, BE WARNED... it is adictive!

Best thing about when it's raining is lying in bed and listening to it against your windows and making it even better is the fact I have freshly cleaned bed sheets.. Someone's going to sleep well tonight :)

Not a Happy Chappy

Today was the day of the year my cat(Alex) absolutely hates.. the dreaded vet check up.

The trip to the vets has become an top secret undercover mission that actually starts a day or two before the appointment. If Alex even hears the slightest movement of the basket or gets a slight indication of whats happening,  he will fly out of the cat-flap and we wont see him for days. So yesterday I sneaked the basket in and hid it in the downstairs toilet.
Stage 1 = complete!

15 minutes before I had to leave this morning I managed to lock his cat-flap without him noticing..or so I thought no no the little ninja heard me.. queue meowing and a mammoth game of hide and seek around the house . After 10 minutes of trying to outwit each other I came out on top and managed to corner him..Yes I outsmarted a cat! Wrestling with him to get him in the basket is the last little bit of fun.
Stage 2 = complete!

I love trips to the vets purely for the fun and games that go on in the waiting area. All the dogs are happy and friendly walking around until the vet calls them in the room. Suddenly their brakes go on and that dog is going no where! You see their owners start to blush and nervous laugh whilst in their head they are cursing and pleading with their dog to comply. One dog today got dragged in and he had to get unhooked from anything he had managed to cling onto on his way into the room.

When it was Alex's turn to go in it took two of us to get him out of his basket, normally he's not very compliant  but today he was really well behaved. I think he's learnt if he stands there nicely then it will be over quickly. I don't even have to lift the basket up to table height for him to get back in it he jumps straight in.
Stage 3 = complete!

Alex is 14 years old so he's getting old now, but the vet said he is healthy and in good shape for a cat of his age . She said he had bit of a fast heart rate so I might have a little play and see if I can take his heart rate one day, I don't think he'll be as well behaved for me though somehow.

He hasnt talked to me or come and sat on my lap all day, I think he's still in a mood with me . Oh well only another 365 days until we have to do it all again.

Look at those evil eyes, if looks could kill!

I now sound like a crazy cat lady.. I promise I'm not!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland.

The night before Mike left I took him to Winter Wonderland in Cardiff . Winter Wonderland is only there from mid November to a week or two after Christmas. They set up an ice rink, a few children's fair ground rides and a massive ferris wheel. Winter Wonderland has become a very couply thing to do, every year I see my friends go with their boyfriends and girlfriends, so this year I seized my opportunity.

He seemed a bit nervous at first, but he picked it up really quick, I'm still trying to find something that I'm better than him at. I've always enjoyed ice skating and used to go every now and then when I was younger. In no means am I any good, the only way I can stop is by banging into the wall and just hope that I don't go flying head over heels over it.

The only problem is I always always get blisters, no matter how many pairs of socks I wear or what size skates I get. Plus after 45 minutes of skating round in circles I either start to feel sick or just cant feel my feet anymore.

It was still a lovely night out and something which I have wanted to do for ages, so I can finally cross that one off my list.

Tis the season to be jolly.

Its getting darker earlier, freezing cold and the winter clothes are out.. It can only mean one thing...Christmas is coming!

I love seeing the decorations slowly going up in the houses every night on my drive home from University. I cant decide whether I like coloured lights or plain white ones better. I think white ones are more classic and sophisticated but coloured ones are more fun and exciting.

We still don't have decorations up in our house yet, I'll be putting them up on the weekend but last weekend Dad and I went shopping for Christmas tree's. Who knew trees were so expensive!! Every year we have one outside the front of the house, one in our conservatory then a artificial one in our lounge. The best bit about buying tree's is trying to get them in the car to get them home . It's probably the only day of the year when you wish you had a van or truck . Luckily dad's car is bigger than mine so it was his car that got the pines and sap everywhere instead of mine.
